Terms of trade

01

Inspection

Serials, hallmarks and movement stamps are photographed and sent to you before money moves, not after. Independent authentication can be arranged at a watchmaker of your choosing.

02

Payment

Payment terms are agreed in writing before anything moves. Ask, and I will tell you exactly how it works and what it costs you.

03

Delivery

In person by appointment in Allentown, or shipped. Whichever we agree, it is confirmed in writing before you pay, and the location is settled once we have spoken.

04

Recourse

If a piece is not as I described it, tell me. What happens then is agreed in writing before you pay, not argued about afterwards.

The Jubilee has real stretch — the centre links rattle and the clasp closes soft, and I have priced it as a watch that needs a bracelet. Dial and hands original and unrestored. Serviced 07.2025, running +6 s/day. No box, no papers.

“Two-tone came back around and this is the honest version of it, an unpolished eighties case with the dial it left the factory with.”

Two diamond markers sit a shade lower than their neighbours near 3 o'clock — factory setting, not replacement, but you will see it under a loupe and I would rather tell you now. Gold bracelet has stretch and one link has been re-pinned. Serviced 08.2023; chronograph runs and resets cleanly. Papers present, box absent.

“The diamond dial is a factory option and I have the paper that says so, which on a gold Daytona is the entire difference.”

Stamp
14K on the end tag. No maker's mark.
Stones
None. Plain polished links.
Cert.
None. XRF tested at three points along the run and acid tested on a cut link; both results photographed for you.

Three links near the clasp have been opened and re-soldered and the colour match is a shade off under a loupe. Sound under load — I have hung my own weight off it. Cleaned and re-polished 06.2026. No box, no receipt.

Two links carry faint tool marks from a jeweller who shortened it before I had it — the seams are clean but they are visible under magnification. No repairs by me. Cleaned 07.2026. Retail pouch only, no box, no receipt.

Stones
Cubic zirconia throughout. Not natural diamond, not lab-grown diamond, not moissanite. I have put a thermal probe on it and it reads CZ.
Cert.
None, and none exists for cubic zirconia. Silver content acid tested at the clasp.

Four stones are missing — two on the clasp face and two about three inches along the left run — and the rhodium has worn through to warm silver along the back where it sits on the neck. Nothing structural. Remaining settings re-tightened and the piece cleaned 07.2026. Retail box present, no receipt.

§06 / In My Hand Photographed as found
A jeweller at a workbench — stand-in photograph
Stand-in — dealer portrait to follow

Shot in my hand, not in a studio.

When a piece goes into the register I photograph it myself, the day it comes in, on the same cloth by the same window. Exposure corrected and nothing else. No studio, no retouching, no stock.

That is deliberate. If a piece has a hairline on the lug, you will see the hairline. I would rather you find the flaw here than in your hand.
